Question:

Are credit cards allowed on I-90 toll road in Illinois?
I'm planning on going on a road trip to Chicago in the coming months. Are credit cards allowed on I-90? How about 294? If so, how much can I expect to pay? Is it even worth it because 94 is free?

Answers:

A-Best: Yes credit cards are allowed but you can't pay your tolls with them. Portions of I-94 are a toll road or you need to pay when it connects to a toll rd (at I-294 for example). What you can expect to pay depends on what your route is but is should only be a few bucks.  

A: No CC, if you have the Ipass, or cash only. If you don't have cash in the car (if you do, keep like 10 bucks somewhere in the car,split dollars and quarters) I forget how much it all is, because I just use up my Ipass...or you could just go through the Ipass lanes, it will take a pic of your car, and send you the bill in the mail, just pay it when you get back.  

A: No credit cards, only EZ Pass or cash.
