Where in canada can I get above 97% of scrap value for gold?
I have a place here in Maryland that gives me 96% of the goldspot price on my scrap gold. In canada, gold goes for $60 more an ounce. Im looking to maybe ship some out and get a little bit more for it. Does anyone know of a gold liquidator in canada??
A-Best: First, it is a very rare business that pays better than that. Paying more means giving up their profit margin. In general, only private individuals pay better than that. My own business pays slightly better, but only for coins - I am not buying scrap gold right now, and if I was, I would be paying less.
Second, while you do get more dollars for your gold in Canada, they are Canadian dollars. Spot gold is presently US$1220, which equals CAN$1295. Canadian dollars are worth slightly less than US dollars, and you will lose a little bit converting then to US dollars.
