How can I drive my car after my I-94 and Driving License expires?
I am currently in state of Texas, US. My current US visa expires in Dec 2009 and my I-94 too. My I-94 stamped date is of April 2009. My driver's license was also issued till that date. Although, I have applied for an extension so how can I drive my own car after that date incase my extension petition is still with USCIS.
PS: I also own an International Driver's Permit.
A-Best: You cannot drive without driver's license. And you cannot be issued a new one if you can't show proof that you have a legal presence in the US.An International Driving Permit (IDP) supplements a valid government-issued license--it does not serve as a replacement for a license. If you are stopped by law enforcement, you will most likely be asked to produce both your IDP and your official driver's license.

A: you cant. its that simple.
If you go to the dmv they need to see actual proof in letter form to show your visa has been extended from immigration.
As of Dec 2009 you can not drive legally unless immigration extends your visa.
A: The wrath of the DMV is well known ..you may be screwed
An IDP ..is only for showing if you home licence is written in a foreign language
