Traffic from I-88 West to I39-90 North in Illinois?
I'm leaving Friday around 4pm to head to Wisconsin from Oak Brook, IL, and I am taking I88 West to I39-90 North. I know the traffic that I can expect from Oak Brook to Aurora due to the construction, but past Aurora, am I really expecting anything bad seeing as there really aren't any major cities around 39-90?
Mildred S, it's October, I don't think anyone needs a last blast of summer, I'm pretty sure it's over.
A-Best: Smooth sailing, just haw toll money if you don't have IPASS.
You wil run into a little bit of congestion arounf the I39 I90 interchange depending on what time you hit it, if it's between 3-6PM it will be the worst.
Also watch your speed around the 99-106 mile marker on I39 The state police like to hang out right there.
A: No I think it should be pretty clear at that time. I drive regularly on 39-90 and it has it good and bad times but I think you will be clear.
A: correct, nothing too bad from my experience so far.
A: you must be kidding right / you are from out of town ?
traffic is never easy on these roads on a friday .. everyone is leaving at 4 pm to get someplace . comuters go back to WI where less expensive house is . you have the out of town traffic going and coming . chicagoans are notorious for trying to get up north for a last blast of summer
i'd estimate 4 hours to get to border ?
you may consider routing ? oakbrook 188 west and get on 355 North becomes 53 then you get connect into 90 .
check AAA they have trip routing customized can compare the different routes .
