Approximately how much money should I budget for tolls from Baltimore to Boston on I-95?
I've tried using the toll calculators on various states' turnpike websites but it's not very clear. I know it will cost me $7.00 just to get out of Maryland (Ft. McHenry tunnel and JFK Mem Hwy) but I have no idea after that. Could someone who is familiar with this route help me out?
A-Best: $7.00 for MD
$3.00 for Delaware Turnpike
$6.70 for NJ Turnpike
$6.00 for GW Bridge
$1.25 for I-95 in NY (paid northbound only)
Total is $23.95. Going south, add $3 for the Delaware Memorial Bridge but subtract $1.25 for I-95, NY, $6 for GW Bridge and $5 for I-95 bridge for a total of $14.70. You could save $2 by taking I-695 West from I-95 North and taking I-695 North from I-95 South in MD.
A: Bring at least 25 bucks if you don't have an EZ Pass/Smart Tag. It should be more than enough.
You'll pass the bridge at the border for Delaware, pay for the NJ turnpike, and possibly pay for a bridge crossing at New York.
