How to get new I-94 or valid immigration status?
My I-94 & L1-B Visa is expiring on 15th Dec 2006. I had applied for my new L1-B petition and got approval notice documents like I-797 & I-129.
My company travel agent says that I have to go back to my country to get the Visa stamped. However in order to save money and time, i would like to know whether i can get a valid immigiration status after 15th Dec 2006. How do i get a new I-94 and what/where do i contact?
Please let me know.
A-Best: On your I-797, is there a new I-94 card at the bottom right? If there is, you do not need a new visa stamp in order to continue working.
You only need a new visa stamp if you plan on traveling internationally. You do not have to go home to do this. You can do it at a US embassy in Canada. Go to www.nvars.com to make an appointment.
Please note that this is not legal advice, just something that had happened to my friend
