Can you tell me about road conditions and constuction driving to Eau Claire, WI from Chicago's western burbs?
I heard that there are huge backups traveling towards the Dells. I will be traveling on I-88 to I-39, and then taking I-90 to I-94, and on into Eau Claire. Are there any alternate routes that might be better, or is there a time of day that makes traveling faster and easier?
A-Best: There is construction right by Madison. Otherwise it should be smooth sailing. Depends on when you go. Evenings on a Friday would not be a good idea, too much traffic. If you can. Sunday would be a good day to drive up. 12 is the alternate route, but it would take you a really long time to get there. Try this site, and good luck.
